Hypnotic collisions of time & culture
We led the foundational creative work for bold and sprawling Japanese fine dining and lounge concept. The work included the core concept, experiential narrative, interior design concepts, art installations, design and branding, staff uniforms, menu design, tableware and beyond.
The experience.
The Restaurant: The formality of traditional Japan has been respectfully hacked by a good-humored, forward-facing generation. The traditional smashes into a surreal and cinematic future. A conduit of bold geometry carries us through the experience; mixing with timeless undiscovered myths from the netherworld.
The Club: Equal parts anonymous hacker, Blade Runner, Wong Kar Wei, Kubrik and The Misfits…shaken with charcoal, neon, sake, and a jolt of electricity.
A heart of tradition. A mind for mischief.
LARGE SCALE ART INSTALLATIONS
To take the underlying story to new levels, we created a series of large physical and digital proposals for the project. Some of the concepts moved forward to execution.

BRANDING
Built from the worlds of of ancient Japanese shapeshifter mythology, street art, punk, noir, glam, urban media and technology.
